Journal History

The scientific journal “Izvestia KSTU” has been published since February 2002 in accordance with the legislation on mass media, the University Charter, the decision of the academic council and the Editorial Charter, updated in April 2010. Starting from 2002, publication frequency has increased from 2 to 4 issues per year. The journal is a subscription publication and is included in the Catalog of Russian Press. Its full-text electronic version is posted in the Scientific Electronic Library, the Book Chamber, the Russian State Library, Cyberleninka, on the university website, as well as on the Russian Scientific Journal and Crossref platforms. The paper version of the journal is sent free of charge to educational institutions with which there are cooperation agreements for the mutual exchange of scientific periodicals. Since 2010, the magazine has been structured thematically and consists of 6 sections: “Biology, ecology and fisheries”, “Engineering and technology of food production”, “Shipbuilding, mechanical engineering and energy”, “Economics and management of the agro-industrial complex”, “Agriculture and environmental management” and "Natural and mathematical sciences." All submitted articles are sent for review. “Izvestia KSTU” is included in the Russian Science Citation Index system. Since 2014, articles from the journal have been included in Ulrich's Periodicals Directory (Ulrich's Periodicals Directory, USA) and the AGRIS International Citation Database. In February 2019, the journal was included in the List of Higher Attestation Commissions. Currently, the journal is included in the List of Higher Attestation Commissions in the following scientific specialties:

  • 1.5.13 – Ichthyology (biological sciences)
  • 1.5.15 – Ecology (industry-related) (biological sciences)
  • 2.5.17 – Ship theory and structural mechanics (technical sciences)
  • 2.5.18 – Design and construction of ships (technical sciences)
  • 2.5.20 – Ship power plants and their elements (main and auxiliary) (technical sciences)
  • 4.3.3 – Food systems (technical sciences)
  • 4.3.5 – Biotechnology of food and biologically active substances (technical sciences).
